Puaada to Yaar Anmulle Returns  5 Punjabi movies that made headlines this week

As the world is on the unlock phase the Punjabi filmmakers are now announcing the release dates of the movies. In fact this week one of the Pollywood projects made it to the silver screen! However if you are not aware of the Punjabi movies that made headlines this week here is a brief for you.

Puaada became the first Punjabi movie to hit the cinemas after the lockdown. Starring Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa the movie was among the highly awaited Pollywood projects which set the cash register ringing right from the very first days. According to the reports the makers are really happy on seeing the response both in India and abroad.The theatrical release of Puaada also featured the teaser of Qismat 2. The audience was given two treats on one plate. Initially the teaser was exclusive for the theater audience, but now the same will be released on social media platforms on August 16 12 pm. Starring Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta this romantic drama is written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu. It is yet another Punjabi movie that got pushed forward owing to the lockdown and is finally ready for a theatrical release. If things go fine, the movie will be released in September this year.Chal Mera Putt 2 is a 2020 movie that was released on March 13th. The makers did not know that the movie will have to be taken down from the theaters soon after the release owing to the pandemic. Finally now that the world is on the unlock mode, the makers have announced the new re-release date of the movie. It will be making it to the big screens on 27th August.Another movie whose release date was announced this week is ‘Yaar Anmulle Returns’. Starring Yuvraaj Hans Harish Verma, and introducing Prabh Gill, the movie will be released on September 10. It is a Harry Bhatti directorial and the much-anticipated sequel to the highly loved movie Yaar Anmulle with Yuvraaj Hans Harish Verma, and Aarya Babbar. Though the release date of Je Jatt Vigad Geya wasnt announced this week, a BTS picture from the film turned heads. Featuring writer director actor Amberdeep Singh, alongside Nimrat Khaira and a child artist, the BTS click painted a picture of a happy family. Further, alongside Amberdeep Singh and Nimrat Khaira the movie also stars Jayy Randhawa Aditi Sharma Karamjit Anmol and Gurpreet Bhangu in pivotal roles.
