Vaccine shortage hits Punjab, people turned away from sites despite confirmation SMS | Ground Report
When 28-year-old Gaurav walked into a vaccination site at Ram Tirath dispensary, located some 14 km from Amritsar in Punjab, he was looking forward to getting the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine. However, he was compelled to leave the site, disappointed, without getting the jab due to shortage of Covid-19 vaccines.
"I was excited that I'll be getting my first jab today but was shattered when the doctor said there was no vaccine. The government is fooling the people in the name of vaccination," said Gaurav. He also complained that social distancing was not being observed at the dispensary.
